Western Front Association Logo

The WFA was formed to further interest in the period 1914-1918. Its principal objective is to perpetuate the memory, courage, and comradeship of those, on all sides, who served their country in France and Flanders. It does not seek to glorify war, is entirely non-political, and welcomes members of all ages.

Gassed by John Singer Sargent (1856-1925). Imperial War Museum, London.

It's Maintenance Time

We will be on limited service for a few days while we make some revisions at the site. For the time being only those links below which are underlined will be working. Check back if something you're looking for is not functioning; these pages will be reconnected regularly over the next week. I hope you will be pleased with the modifications. Mike
