Friday, March 7, 6:00 pm. Social Gathering

Enjoy a drink in the open Mess Bar while viewing the CSR's incomparable military artifacts and historical paintings. Relaxed friendly mingling with fellow members, social chat, and discussion of some of your own particular favorite Great War subjects. Meet and greet old friends and get acquainted with new members. Talk over aspects of the Pacific Coast Branch with Executive Committee members who will be on hand. Set-up your Show & Tell exhibit; contribute books and other items for our Silent Auction, and start bidding on any items of interest.

9:00 - 10:00 am - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: Welcome by Branch Chairman. Presentation of Executive Committee Reports. Nomination and election of Executive Committee members for 2008-2009.

Coffee and doughnuts served.


10:00 - 10:15 am - Coffee Break.

4:00 pm - Pick-up your March 2008 copy of The Listening Post. Renew your Branch Membership.

6:00 - 8:30 pm - MESS DINNER. Coats and ties or mess kit for gentlemen, suits or dresses for ladies. Special keynote speakers: Norman Leach - The Making Of 'Passchendaele: The Movie'. plus Passchendaele Through The Camera's Eye, by Danny Nowak.

8:30 - On. Socializing in Mess Bar for rest of evening. Winning bidders in the Silent Auction claim and pay for items.(Members please help clear away dishes from dining-room tables.)

10.30 - 11.15 am - The South Africans' Ordeal At Delville Wood, by Sidney Allinson.

11:15 - 12:00 am - Members' round-table discussion, input, and suggestions about the Pacific Coast Branch. Members please pitch in to help clear dishes and chairs in the Mess. Gather personal belongings. Farewells.
